Arlene grew up in Christy Park, later moving to White Oak, PA and Elizabeth Township, PA.

A 1952 graduate of McKeesport High School, she married Dwight Dunn in 1955 and they raised three children together. During her tenure, she was also active in several trade organizations, including the American Waterworks Association, the National Association of Chemical Distributors and the Chemical Association of Pittsburgh, serving as general chairman of their annual Chemical Day event in 1983.

Following her retirement, she enjoyed playing golf in the ladies’ Nine-Holers at Youghiogheny Country Club. She volunteered at McKeesport Hospital, serving on the Junior Committee Board that managed and merchandised the hospital’s gift shop. Arlene loved spending time with her family and friends, vacationing together for many years in Myrtle Beach, SC and traveling the US to visit with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dwight Allen Dunn and her brother Hugh F. Daugherty Jr. of Atlanta, GA. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Dunn Caldwell (Burt) of Birmingham AL, and sons Rand Dunn (Linda) of Richland WA and Todd Dunn (Kimberly) of Wyoming DE, grandsons Brad Dunn (Nicole) of Richland WA, Douglas Caldwell (Ashley) of Auburn AL, Tanner Dunn of Seattle WA, and Logan Dunn of Pittsburgh, PA, granddaughters Taylor Dunn of West Chester PA, and Jocelyn Dunn of Wyoming DE.
